Getting Ready!!!

I started this blog for my daughter, Carolyn, to document her journey with Microtia and post updates throughout her surgeries!  Carolyn was born with Microtia Atresia on the right side.  Wednesday we will be going to Children's Scottish Rite in Atlanta to begin the first of four surgeries to get her "big ear" with Dr. Mark Mitchell Jones! 


We will leave for ATL Tuesday morning to do some fun stuff, and then off to bed early!!  Surgery starts at 7:30EST, and we will have to be there at 5:30AM!  They will remove cartilage from her rib, carve the ear from it, and place it under the skin.  This surgery takes approximately 4-6 hrs. and I will be posting updates throughout!  We will be in the hospital most likely until Friday, then will travel back to Dothan.  Please pray for Dr. Jones and his staff, and Carolyn to be strong and experience a quick recovery!
